Unfortunately, I have no ideas about the reason causing the issue. We will install Bitvise and try to reproduce the issue in our conditions.

Error 3330 did occur with previous SecureBlackbox build. Please install the latest available SecureBlackbox build update (6.0.137) to have Bitvise keys loaded correctly too.

Hmm, pretty sure I am running the latest version. Just purchased about a week ago and downloaded version 6 the day it was out. How can I tell the specific version? Can you suggest something else to generate keypairs with?

The original 6.0 release build (6.0.136) had a problem that prevented base64-enveloped SSH keys from being loaded correctly. That's why it has been immediately followed by 6.0.137 build that fixed the mentioned problem.

I do not actually think that keypair generator is the reason. We are setting up the environment at the moment, hope to get some results soon.

ok, thanks. I am downloading the most current version now. Do I need to uninstall previous version or does the installer update for me?

Thanks again for all of your help!

It is not necessary to uninstall the previous build -- you can simply run the 6.0.137 installer and point it to the same installation directory.

Ok, thanks. Installing latest version allowed me to add the key generated from Bitvise Tunnelier but I still get error code 114 and am unable to connect. I'll wait to hear your results from using the Bitvise WinSSHD SFTP Server. I do have vendors connecting to our Bitvise SFTP server programatically, but I'm not sure which components they are using. I am pretty sure they are all on LINUX machines.

Thanks!

Hi. I've just tested our latest build with the also latest build of WinSSHD, and everything goes ok with public-key authentification. I attached key, used in this test (passphrase for it is 'password').

There is also one issue with the server - it doesn't allow public key authentification until correct passphrase for account is not added to it's cache. So you need firstly to login with password, and after that - with public key (maybe there are other methods, but i used this one).

Hmm, strange. I did login using password first. Plus I am able to login using Pubkey using their tunnelier product. Also, I am passing the password every time right now, so if the server needs it it is there. Are you using a virtual account tied to a windows account? Can you send me a screenshot of the settings for the user?

Ok, I was missing this line in my project:

SFTPClient.KeyStorage = KeyStorage

I don't know why it wasn't working in the demo project, but after I finally got it working in my own app I tried the demo project again and it did work. So this was all my bad, jsut wish I could have found out what the problem was earlier...

Thank you so much for all of your help!
