Hi !

if application which set up callback has been terminated from task manager
and now we have a mounted volume which is obviously not accessible.
Is there is a way to detect such case and re-insert hooks ?

SolFS Driver Edition includes ForceUnmount method to deal with this problem. In future version (SolFS Drv 2.0) there will be other methods added for more flexible handling of orphan volumes.

Unfortunately at the moment Callbackdisk doesn't have any methods to address your problem. Maybe we will add ForceUnmount() to the next update of CallbackDisk but there's no schedule for this.

I can't tell you if the driver can be restarted in this condition. The developers should know or you can try yourself and let us all know :).

It isn't possible to restart the driver if some virtual disks exist at the time of restarting. The Uninstall method in this case just returns success with the RebootNeeded parameter set to TRUE.

Sure, the system reboot will help.
