Hello,
I have a very nasty exception on one of my hosts then executing code referencing callback filter dll:

System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'CBFlt4Net.dll' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found.
File name: 'CBFlt4Net.dll'

Assembly.LoadFrom (somePath + "CBFlt4Net.dll") gives the same error.

Obviously file is there (CBFlt4Net.dll for .Net 4.0. 64 bit version), WIndows Server 2008R2 SP1 64bit, .Net 4.0., etc.
Tried to play with Platform target of my process and CBFlt4Net.dll - Any CPU, 64bit, 32bit -without result.
At the same time everything is fine on my other hosts with seemingly the same configuration.

Is there any dependancies I should care about? Any ways of troubleshooting why my process "doesn't like" CBFlt4Net.dll on this specific computer?

Thanks,
Denis

Yes, the .NET assembly requires MSVC Runtime DLLs to be present. Please refer to the help file, Deployment section, for detailed instructions regarding deployment of those DLLs.

If you deploy the DLLs and still have the problem, it can be caused by the conflict between the minor updates of MSVC Runtime DLLs of the same version (yes, DLL Hell is alive and kicking). Let's start by checking the simpler case, though.

I see VS++ 2008 Redistributable (both x86 and x64) installed on my target system.
Could you please give link to deployment instructions because the one from https://www.eldos.com/documentation/cbflt/ref_gen_install_net_vs.html is broken (and the same in offline documentation)?

Thanks,
Denis

Deployment is a separate section in the help file, if you look through the ToC. One of the pages is https://www.eldos.com/documentation/cb...edist.html and there are more there.
