Hello.

I encountered a new problem to encrypt Office documents.
I want to encrypt Office's auto recovery file, but this file event does not fired.
I'm testing in Window XP and Office 2007 PowerPoint.
Auto recovery file's name is ppt*.tmp and stored location is "C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Temp".
I did set "true" property of ProcessCachedReadWriteRequests, but any event does not fired.

I'm testing evaluation version. and this problem would be important point to choose filter.

Thank you.

It most cases when read/write event not fired, target file is produced as a result of rename operation. Did you try to subscribe ppt*.tmp file to the RenameOrMove callback handler. Additionally you may check file system activity log using FileMon utility from "Sysinternals"

I found the cause for this problem.
PowerPoint call file IO to short path and I set monitoring path to long path.

PowerPoint : C:\DOCUME~1\hskim\LOCALS~1\Temp\ppt17.tmp
callbackfilter : C:\Documents and Settings\hskim\Local Settings\Temp\ppt17.tmp
