I have to deny file creation based on some conditions. While creating file, I am getting control in CbFltCreateFileEventC method and I am able to check the condition but the file is being created even if I set ProcessRequest to false.

I suppose setting ProcessRequest to false is the way to denying the request but I wonder why It is not working.

Can you please help me?

try to add the same filter logic to the CbFltOpenFileEventC callback.
There are some open requests may leads to the file creation. This may happens during NtCreateFile() win32 api call with CreateDisposition parameter equal to FILE_OPEN_IF, FILE_OVERWRITE_IF or FILE_SUPERSEDE value.
