Hi!

I trying CBFS 1.0.11. Nice work!

I work in C#. I have two function, with DB acces: GetFolders(int ParentID); and GetFiles(int ParentID);.
Where I can fill the DiskEnumerationContext, where I need make new instance of that, because I don't need lot of DB-calls?

How can I implement the directory handling?

Can You send me an extended sample source (C# :))?

Thank You:
Snuki

When OnEnumerateDirectory is called, you need to check the passed context. If it's not set, then you can create and set one.

As for the sample, you can use the existing samples.

Hi, for some reason sometimes in OnCreate I get file name like this: "\Music:QebiesnrMkudrfcoIaamtykdDa:$DATA". It looks like a file with alternate data streams is being copied. How should I handle these files?

Another thing is that under Windows Server 2008 i am getting weird error messages (see attached pictures) with specific files (.ini) - also attached.

Thank you
Petr Chmelar

Sorry, I don't seem to be able to attach more than one file so here is the other error message.

The alternative data streams feature will be added in the next version. But in the current version such file names should not be passed to the user mode callback functions. We shall investigate why it has taken place.
Currently for such requests you must return ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED (or ERROR_NOT_IMPLEMENTED).

Could you please specify how to reproduce this bug?

Well, in the end it turned out that it might be a bug on my side. Sorry for confusion.

Hi,
We have implemented a FUSE on windows using Eldos CBFS. While running Microsoft IFStest suite on the drive exposed by this file system, the tests under section ‘SectionCache’ fail, most of them with status STATUS_SHARING_VIOLATION.
That brings up a few questions:
1. Does Eldos CBFS support caching and memory mapped files?
2. Does the Eldos kernel-mode driver itself use cache manager functionality to cache data?
3. We are currently turning the UseSystemCache flag On (UseSystemCache=true). Does this have any effect on 1 & 2 above?
Help appreciated.
-Salil.

Please identify who "you" are - what is your company name and when you requested the trial key. We provide only limited support to unregistered customers and I don't recognize your name as the one that requested the trial key.
