Hi

We have updated to CBFS 6 for improved win 10 compatibility. However, we are seeing Error code 1 (Incorrect function) when we try to mount a drive in Windows 7 SP1 64 bit systems. Is this a known issue ?

No, this is not a known issue. Is the issue specific to certain computer(s)? The reason I am asking is that such effect is sometimes caused by third-party applications rather than by CBFS itself.

Hi Eugene

Thanks for the response. Yes, this seems to be specific to few computers in our clients env. The error is thrown when addMountingPoint call is performed.

Luckily I was connected and see that this specific user and they have Winmagic SecureDoc (some type of encryption at rest software it looks like).

You might want to play with the settings of this software to see, what's going on and why it affects the mounting.

Here's how I imagine what happens: the software monitors new devices as they are added, and it doesn't like something (that could be anything) in the newly mounted device, this software blocks the requests, sent by CBFS, and CBFS returns error.

Hi Eugene
Thanks. That makes sense since there does not seem to be a pattern at all.
