Hello,

I have one more requirement, where I want to prevent the copy/print operation for confidential documents. So just wondering whether this can be achievable through CBFS.

Thanks in advance for doing this favor.

Hello,

There are no such operations as "copy" and "print" on the file system level. It's the function of the program which performs such operations. Usually programs in order to do file copying open the source file, then create an empty destination file, and then perform in loop reading a chunk of the source file and writing the chunk to the destination. So in order to prevent file copying it's necessary to block reading of the file for such programs. For CBFS it can be done by checking the requested access rights in the OnOpen callback and throwing the access denied error. Of course the blocked program won't be able to read the file at all.
As a variant use Process Monitor to explore how a program you want to block performs "copy" and "print". Process Monitor allows to see what operations occur on the file system level and it is usually easy to correlate the Process Monitor output with the CBFS callbacks. Perhaps it helps to find a way to achieve what you want.
