Contents getting lost on saving a read only file

When trying to save a read only file, the error " Please check whether this file is opened in another program" is getting displayed correctly(even though not a proper message, most probably notepad++ might be throwing this one), but the existing contents of the file are getting lost and effectively the file is becoming a zero/sparse file. So just wondering why CBFS is erasing the existing contents, if it is unable to write the new content.

Thank you for interesting of our product. It seems there is some problem in the CBFS callbacks implementation. Is the problem reproducible with any of the CBFS samples? If so please specify what to do in order to reproduce it.
