Hi, I have a WiX based MSI installer which is able to install the CBFS device drivers. All updates for my app are done with an integrated updater app (wyUpdate). I wonder how an update of the CBFS drivers could be done? During the udpate process wyUpdate allows me to copy the cbfs.cab to the target machine and to execute some commands.

Is there a way to install the cbfs.cab drivers from the command line or do I need a small MSI installer containing the updated CBFS drivers only which is executed during the update?

Hi Yves,

The only way to correctly install cbfs.cab is use the CallbackFileSystem.Install method. I.e. you should create a small installer, maybe insert cbfs.cab file inside its resources, then copy that installer to the target machine and execute.
