I have two separate CBFSes running. I would like to have one of the CBFS processes access a file within the other CBFS during a callback. I can't do this in a single process because the two processes are running with different user credentials.

Is this possible? If the answer is no, can I do this if the two processes are running two different versions of the driver (e.g. one is CBFS 4 and the other CBFS 5)?

Most likely you'll get a deadlock, *especially* if you try to do this from the callback / event handler. The version doesn't matter here because that are system kernel objects, acquiring which would lead to the deadlock.

Unfortunately there's no good way to know if the specific drive is managed by CBFS.

Sincerely yours
