We mount our virtual drive with default StorageCharacteristics (RemovableMedia).
We use a volume label string, like XXX.

When we map the volume to letter A: or B:, then the system seems to ignore our VolumeLabel, and always displays "Floppy Disk Drive".

This is easily reproducible with Mapper sample (volume label should be "CbFs Test", but mounted to A: or B:, explorer displays "Floppy Disk Drive").

Is that a known issue?
Is there any workaround?

Note that setting storage characteristics to zero (instead of RemovableMedia) fixes the problem. But then we see performance issue: https://www.eldos.com/forum/read.php?FID=13&TID=5933

It is known issue and unfortunately we don't know how to workaround it.
