I'm setting

cbfs.MaxReadWriteBlockSize = 4 * 1024 * 1024; // 4MB

but OnWriteFile still sends chunks of 65536 bytes.

Am I missing something?

As the name suggests, it's *Max* size, not minimal. If the application writes data byte by byte, you'll get this data as it is passed from the application, i.e. byte by byte.

File caching should have grouped this data into larger blocks. Don't know but it's possible that the application performs file flush after each block.
