According to https://www.eldos.com/helpdesk/ticket_edit.php?ID=21894
the NFS Server requests "hard link" informations.

May i ask if it could be possible for the driver to answer the "hard link" information request with YES, but when a real hard link call it is issued to throw an error ?
Maybe this this "trick" would allow us to create the NFS share ?

This would be fine for our case, because hard links are not issued by applications using our CBFS (it would be okay to get an error).

Or on the other side what would happen if the driver answers "NO" to the request? (Or is this the actual behaviour ?)

We have discussed this topic with you in the helpdesk and the answer doesn't change - hard link support is something that needs special attention (even on the "answer yes and then report errors" level). We will get to it but later.

Sincerely yours
Eugene Mayevski
