Hello,

we have developed a testing application which automatically performs some operations on our CBFS drive. E.g. it enumerates through the files and folders and compares the file checksums.

Unfortunately our CBFS implementation is crashing after a while when more than one instance of the testing application is running. The dump reveals that an error occurs inside the CBFS routines: sometimes it is inside _CbFsUcbRequest method, sometimes in different methods.

I ran the testing application on a Mapper sample drive. It is crashing with an assertion message:

Program: U:\USR\RBR\Temp\Mapper.exe
File: f:\dd\vctools\crt_bld\self_x86\crt\src\dbgdel.cpp
Line: 52
Expression: _BLOCK_TYPE_IS_VALID(pHead->nBlockUse)

After ignoring this assertion different assertions show up, like:
File: f:\dd\vctools\crt_bld\self_x86\crt\src\dbgheap.c
Line: 1317
Expression: _CrtIsValidHeapPointer(pUserData)

I hope that this is caused by the same problem and that you are able to reproduce this behaviour. Let me know if you need more information!

Regards,
Robert Baer

Hello Robert,

Are you using the latest CallbackFS build? If not then please try it with the latest prerelease build located here https://www.eldos.com/cbfs/download-prerelease.php

If the problem still exists could you send us a detailed description how to reproduce it?
Thanks.

Hello Vladimir,

we are testing this issue with the prerelease build and it seems like the error does not occur anymore. That's wonderful! Thanks to your developers!

When are you planning to finally release version 3.2?

Regards,
Robert

In about two weeks, as more people have chance to test the pre-release in real-life conditions. We are putting SFTP Net Drive with this pre-release on the site right now, for wider testing.

Sincerely yours
Eugene Mayevski
