Windows 7 SP1

Steps to reproduce:

1. Change in a sample (for example, Mounter), the Click event of Add button to ... AddMountingPoint("Z:;;Sample", CBFS_SYMLINK_NETWORK, null)

2. Share a folder on some disk. Open it by typing in Explorer address bar "\\ComputerName\folder". It opens.

3. Click the Add button on Mounter, drive Z: will appear.

4. Now if you open \\ComputerName\folder, Windows says "\\ComputerName\folder is not accessible. You might not have permission ...

1) Is "ComputerName" a local computer's name (i.e. where Mounter is started)?
2) Are you accessing all folders also on local computer?
3) Did I understood you right, that creating a mounting point blocks access to "third-party" created share?

Yes.

Yes.

It blocks access to the shares (local shared folders) created with Windows Properties -> Sharing, accessed on same computer.
I don't tested accessing shares from network, only on the same computer.

I am having a very similar problem, although in my case I am trying to access the mounted drive remotely, not on the local machine where it is mounted. My problem seems specific to Windows 7, as I have tried it with other operating systems (Windows XP, Windows 2008 Server) and it seems to work fine with them. Your last message says you moved this problem to the Help Desk, but I cannot find it there.

I opened a new help desk ticket with my problem because I felt it was different enough from this problem to be deemed a new problem. The ticket number is 18758.

HelpDesk is personal, you can't see other person's tickets there. Also that problem was solved with the latest available build of CBFS.
