I've seen in older posts that there used to be a "useSystemCache" property. Ist there an equivalent in the 3.0 version? I haven't found anything in the help. The background for my question is that read-ahead by the cache manager might have negative consequences in our use case, so would like to prevent use of the system cache.

CallbackFS driver doesn't use the system cache at all now. And it's up to you to use or not it in the callbacks.
But usually the system cache in the callbacks implementation is used implicitly. For example if read/write is performed on a file which is opened without the FILE_FLAG_NO_BUFFERING flag.
