During 1GB of data write to CBFS drive, Windows Task Manager reported increasing of the 'Commit charge' on the value of currently written data (and Page file increasing as well). Fortunatelly this happen both in QStar program and Eldos Mounter.exe from 2.5.56 package (mapper to local folder) :-). Reproduces even on 200MB of data copy to Mounter drive, both with our test tools or Windows Explorer copy/paste. I waited some time after test, but 'Commit charge' not decreases, but got "Windows - Virtual Memory Minimum Too Low" instead (Commit charge/PF sizes were almost the same as just after test). Tested on W2K3 R2 SP2 and XP pro SP2. Is this a correct behavior?
I tried to put this message to helpdesk, but something not work...
Added: None of Mounter (mapper) Delete, Umount, Delete Storage, Uninstall Driver not helps. Only reboot moves 'Commit charge' from 2300MB back to normal 700MB. Wrote 250MB again to Mounter drive - Commit charge increased almost to 1GB :(.
And no visible memory/handles leak in any of involved processes (Task manager), so I suppose this might happen in kernel (driver).

This issue has been fixed in 2.5.57 (the latest version of 2.5 is build 59, which is available to you for download from My Control Center, http://www.eldos.com/cc/).

Mr. Eugene,

We have been using version 2.5.55.140. Today I try the lastest version 2.5.59 and start strange behaviour about page file increasing. I´m trying to rollback to version 2.5.55 again.

There are any info that I can provide to help you to solve this problem?
We always use the drive to manage a large amount of data.

Cheers,
Hunter

Do you have the same problem as described in the first message of the topic?

My guess is that your code was somehow loading version 2.5.55 of the driver, while user-mode API was from version 2.5.59
