Blocking or not?

Two questions:

1. May NotifyDirectoryChange() block? If not, is it guaranteed that such non-blocking behavior will persist in future CBFS releases?

2. UnmountMedia() blocks until all pending callbacks return, regardless of the value of the ForceUnmount parameter. Am I right?

1. From the callbacks it's called always asynchronously. If it's called from any other code (outside the callbacks) then this call is synchronous (i.e. it blocks until it completely finishes).

2. Yes, you are right.

Thanks Vladimir. Is there any way to call NotifyDirectoryChange() asynchronously from outside the callback? i.e. the function schedules the job to another thread and returns immediately.

In CallbackFS ver.3 there will be a possibility to call NotifyDirectoryChange always asynchronously. We are going to release it shortly.
