If I were to disable and then enable the metadata cache, would it clear the cache? Our backend relies on a persistent network connection for file change notifications, and if we loose the connection, I would like to clear the CallbackFS cache in case we missed any external file changes:

DisableMetaDataCache(FALSE);
DisableMetaDataCache(TRUE);

Oops - reverse those calls:

DisableMetaDataCache(TRUE);
DisableMetaDataCache(FALSE);

Yes, the cache will be cleared. But if some files are opened at this time then their meta data will be left in the cache.
