Is there a reliable way to know when a file is done writing?

I'm looking for a way to know when a file is done saving. With file copies, the OS calls "SetEndOfFile()" to set the end position. When doing any type of streaming save, SetEndOfFile is called for each chunk sent.

What I want is to prompt the user with a custom form after a file is saved to the FS. The form needs to be able to open the file after the save (because I am displaying the image, in the case of image files, on the form).

Anybody have any ideas?

Track for the last OnClose request for a file that was being written. OnClose is the latest request that is called for a file.
