We are using Callback FS Version 2.1.43 - Released November 21, 2008. We tried to mount a virtual drive (S:) using the sample C#.NET application provided with Callback FS installation. After mounting the virtual drive, when we double click on it, it throws up a message box saying - 'Please insert a disk into drive S:'
The following is the configuration of the box on which we have installed Callback FS.

OS Name: Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition
Version: 5.2.3790 Service Pack 2 Build 3790
System Type : X86-based PC

Also, on trying to unmount this virtual drive (S:), we get an error which says "The device is not ready"

Request you to help us.

Please specify what a sample application are you using? And does the problem exist on other computers?
Also please try the problem with the latest build (at least with 2.1.44).

We are using the sample C#.NET application called 'VMounter'. This application gets installed with Callback FS software.

Also, this problem doesn't seem to exist on a box with the following configuration:

OS Name : Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Version : 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600
System Type : X86-based PC

Our production servers are running Windows 2003 Standard Edition (SE) and so we would like to know the cause of this issue.

The same problem also exists on boxes with Windows 2003 SE hosted on VMWare.

Thank you for the information. I will check it and answer a little later.

Hi Frederick,

I have checked it but unfortunately couldn't reproduce. Perhaps the problem is because the drive letter you are using has aready been used by another device (for example a CDROM drive without CD). Could you download the FileMon from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sy...96642.aspx, attach it to the created virtual disk, and check what an operation returns an error. Thanks.
And please check the problem with the latest build (version 2.5).
