Are you using some sample or your code?
If you are using VDisk or VMounter sample, then it's no wonder - they are using operating memory as a storage.

I am using VDisk with some extra code.

1)Is it possible to avoid writing to Memory stream?
and show the user all information about the file (size and creation date which are saved in the database).

2)What I am doing now is making a copy from the file and save it in another folder with different name (to be processed later). but not as the Mapper application.

You can write the data wherever you want. VDisk uses operating memory as a storage.
