Did you specify the valid path to the VSMntNfs.dll in the CallbackFileSystem.InstallHelperDll() call ?

The "ERROR_NO_MORE_FILES" problem has been fixed. The new build with the fix is expected later this week.
As for "file not found" error please re-check the path that you pass to the function.

Hi,

Thank you for the response and support.

The error i get while installing helper dll is solved in XP and 2003.

The changes i have made is,
1. I tried by installing the latest version available for evaluation on June 10, 2008
2. Initially i tried by copying the helper dll to my local library of the solution. Now i am refferring to the location where cbfs is actually installed.

Now, the problem i have is that, when i create my application as a windows service, the helper dll is getting installed by InstallHelperDll(), without any error. But i am not able to see the drive.

Am i missing anything? Is there any other thing that should be done programmatically for the windows service to make the drive visible? Should the login user have any special access rights for this? I am currently logging in as administrator to these machines.

New build is on the site, but please read this topic: http://www.eldos.com/forum/read.php?FID=13&TID=1200

We still have some problems with installing the VSMntNtf.dll on 64-bit Vista. This will be addressed in a day or two.

Hi,

I get the following error while mounting the helper dll in a windows 2003 machine. Earlier i had successfully installed my application in another windows 2003 box, but now i get this error when trying to run it on another machine.

Any information on what causes this error?

"
Type : CallbackFS.ECBFSError, CBFSNet, Version=2.0.32.37990, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=0f194b348c109bec
Message : This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem

Installation of the helper dll requires running RegSvr32 (in order to let the 32-bit code install 64-bit DLLs). And the error happens when the code attempts to run RegSvr32.exe. We have no solution for this OS problem so far.

We are working on writing our own replacement for regsvr32 and putting it to the resources. Once this is done, the problem will go away.

Forgot to mention one thing.

The machine where the application functioned correctly is windows 2003 SP1, and where it did not work is windows 2003 SP2.

Does this cause any issue?

Ok.

so it seems that SP2 causes the issue.
Thank you so much.

Can we manually run the regsvr32 command? Is that advisable?
