I am using CBFS version 2.0.31
I want to build my application, as a windows service. The solution which worked fine with console as well as windows application, was not that fine with windows service. I did not get any error, but the drive was not visible or accessible.
While searching through the help files i got the following quote
"When the mounting point is added or removed, Callback File System API broadcasts a system message (WM_DEVICECHANGE) which tells Windows Explorer to refresh the list of disks available in the system. The problem comes when you add or remove the mounting point from the service application. The messages can't go across different user sessions, and Explorer won't receive the notifications. To work around this problem Callback File System 2.0 inlcudes Explorer Notification helper DLL "

So i was trying to install the VSMntNtf.dll with the InstallDLLHelper() method.
But at this point I get the following error
"There are no more files"

Any pointers on solving the issue? Please help.

Hi,

Thanks for the response.

I tried in Windows XP 32-bit
But while trying to install the helper i get the error
"The specified module could not be found"

I tried with Windows 2003 SP2
I get the same error
"The specified module could not be found"

I am trying to install the helper dll, just before creating the storage(CreateStorage())
Will this cause any issues?

In the application which is the appropriate point to install the helper dll?

Then maybe it's your code that has some problem? Are you specifying the complete path to the DLL?

Do you know the build in which this defect will be fix and what day that release will be available? My company is wanting to purchase license(s) but is waiting until this is fix.

As soon as it is ready. There's no need to ask all around - this will not make development faster.
