We have an FTPS connection which went down several times on production. We have set the polling interval to 180 seconds and error threshold to 3. Last night the adapter shut itself down after 3 failed attempts. The error is listed below. I checked with our vendor and they said their server is up and running fine during that time. I restarted the adapter several hours later and it is fine since then. However, our business users are very uncomfortable with this occasional connection error. Please help.

Thank you for contacting us.

Error 10060 is winsock (windows network layer) error that stands for "Connection timeout". This error happens when the server is down or due to network failure. There's nothing you or we can do in this situation. Maybe your network administrators can assist you by running some diagnostics (eg. pinging the destination server constantly and finding when the pings fail).

Sincerely yours
Eugene Mayevski
