We have a SFTP Receive location. We have set the polling interval to 180 seconds. From the log, it works fine for the first two connections but then starts to throw connection error after the 3rd time. Any reason why?

IIRC, this is caused by certain network slowness (maybe due to the firewall). There's no resolution for this issue in version 9.1. Upcoming version 11 will address it.

After two successful connections, it keeps failing. The config remains unchanged. If it is a network issue, why can it connect succssfully? What is the work around? I have tried disable and re-enable the receive location and restarting the BizTalk application. I keep getting this error now:

EldoS SFTP Adapter: Failed to transfer file(s): Connection lost (error code is 10035)

Robert,

What you can try is to play with various network-related properties of the adapter. In particular, please try the following settings:

- raise the values of the Socket Timeout and Timeout properties up to 1 minute (60000),
- set Use IPv6 to No (false).

You can also try binding the component to a specific local network interface by providing its IP address via the Local Address property.

There is no guarantee that any of the above settings will help, yet one of them might do (as Eugene said above, it is likely to be a firewall issue, so we truly can't give any prognosis here).
