We are experiencing some difficulties to configure the FTPS Biztalk Adapter to make a recursive get on a FTPS server.

The Folder structure of the server is attached and has you can see we have files (bigger one is about 17Mb) and folders with more files and folders (until 4 levels of folders).

I can see that the adapter start downloading the files to the cache folder, but drops Control channel transfer error (as you can see in the attached trace log).

How can I configure this kind of connection ?

Looks like you are using the evaluation version which has speed delays and this causes slow transfer. When the large file is transferred, control channel remains inactive for long time - long enough for the server OR the NAT/firewall/router to think that the connection has died and close the control channel, thus aborting connection.

You can request the time-limited key on http://www.eldos.com/bizcyrpto/keyreq/. The key will increase transfer speed significantly and supposedly will address your particular problem.

But in general if you decide to transfer say 10Gb-large file over FTPS, you will face the same problem. This is the issue caused by the external factor (NAT or router or maybe the server) and unfortunately there's no way so far to keep control channel open, because FTP/FTP doesn't have means for keep-alive packets which would indicate that the connection is alive.

Hi Eugene,

It not a eval licence. The problem may be in the server side. I'll talk with provider to make some tweaks on there site.

Thanks anyway.
