On our development environment we run into 10058, in the log files it says SSH Error 114.
What could be the cause of this?

Error 114 is returned if the adapter failed to authenticate to the SFTP server. Please check that the private key you pass to the adapter is correct (corresponds to the user account on the server), and that you assign the account name to the Username property (leaving this property blank is a common mistake).

I'm trying to use Core FTPS mini server on our dev environment to be able to talk to the SFTP adapter.
Would it be sufficient to just pass username/password to the localhost?

This depends on how the server is configured. For SFTP where anonymous access is not supported you need to setup a username and a password or username and a key (or both the key and the password) on the server.

Core SFTP mini server is just an exe where you only can specify
- Username
- Password
- Port
- Root path

So I specified a username and password on both the adapter and the Core SFTP mini server. But still I get the 114 error.

Did you do what Ken suggested above, i.e. specified username, password and also have restarted the host?

Sincerely yours

Yes, I restarted the host instances and the ports. I managed to get the Send port working, but now I also want the receive port working.
I compared the settings, but they look the same.

If the Send port works and the Receive port doesn't, the problem is definitely in the settings of the Receive port. Please re-check that *all* the following values are correct and identical to those of the Send port:

- Username,
- Password,
- Address,
- Port.
