Hello,

I am busy evaluating BizCrypto for a customer but I am having a problem connecting to the suctomers SFTP server.

Environment: BizTalk 2010 (CU3 installed) on Windows 2008 R2 64Bit

When I try and setup a RecieveLocation to access the SFTP server I receive the following error in the trace file:

[24-1-2012 14:54] Searching for installed BizCrypto addons.
[24-1-2012 14:54] BizCrypto.BizTalk.Addons library successfully loaded.

I tried the following troubleshooting steps with no effect:

1. Adding the user under which the BizTalk host instance is running to the Administrators group to see if the issue is related to permissions but I get the same error message.

2. Checking to ensure that the hostname is pingable and that the reverse IP Address lookup resolves to the correct hostname.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Gary

Thank you for contacting us.

According to the log, the system was unable to obtain the address of the server from its DNS name. First of all, please re-check that you've put in the SFTP server address correctly to the Address property of the adapter (yes, it's the most popular reason for such kind of issues). If you are sure that you've entered it correctly, could you please check whether the adapter is able to connect to some other (maybe public) SFTP server from the same environment?

Thanks for the reply Innokentiy.

It was indeed the address field. I was using the <username>@<hostname> syntax to connect to the server. Once I entered the username in the username field instead everything worked :-)

Thanks again,

Gary
