I have the problem that when using the Biztalk adapter cannot seem to add contents to the files i transfer to a sftp (freesshd) server or from a ftps (filezilla server) server.

The files go through but are empty (size 0) upon inspection.

Both transfers go through without problems when using a filezilla client.

Please tell me if there is a common solution to this problem.

Using:
localhost connection on
Windows server 2003
Biztalk 2006 R2
VMware 6.0.3
freeSSHd 1.2.1
Filezilla server 0.9.25
Filezilla Client 3.0.9.3

First, please check that you are using the latest build of SecureBlackbox. A similar problem did exist in one of the previous build updates but has been fixed in the latest one.

Second, please enable logging (using properties in the Trace category) and check if some error is reported to the log. It's a good idea to set trace level to Debug and dump the log to a file.

Please post your questions to the appropriate forum: SecureBlackbox for Business Servers. Current topic will be moved to that forum.

Log from sftp upload:

Where exactly did you get the file that fails to be uploaded? Was it read via the FILE adapter? Please try to set the receive/send pipelines to PassThruReceive and check if it helps.

Log from ftps download:

Please also try to set the receive pipeline to PassThruReceive and check if it changes something.

The file was read by a FILE adapter, yes.
It helped on the sftp upload passing it through a PassThruTransmit pipeline.
The files now contain data.

It did not help passing the ftps data through a PassThruReceive pipeline.
The (now unrouted) message is still empty.
In addition i noticed in the Filezilla log that the adapter tries to download 5 other files besides the one available with names "2", "1", "9", "1" and "0".
Since they do not exist this of course fails.

The problem was related to text mode of transfer. The issue will be fixed with RC 2, which will be available today.

Sincerely yours
