Upgrading BizCrypto components

To upgrade your BizCrypto SqlServer components, perform the following steps:

  1. You may uninstall existing version of BizCrypto.SqlServer (if you don't mind to have old assemblies in the GAC you may skip this step). Still, we recommend that you uninstall the existing BizCrypto installation unless you have strong reasons not to do so.
  2. Install new version of BizCrypto for SqlServer.
  3. Reboot the server (sometimes SSIS locks assemblies and still use old ones after installing new version).
  4. Update references in your existing BizCrypto-driven SSIS packages. You can do this with the "PackageUpdater" utility. You will find it at %ProgramFiles%\Eldos\BizCrypto.SqlServer folder. Select a packages folder, the utility will search for all available packages. Enter new version and update. See the screenshot (version numbers might differ from the ones shown in the screenshot).
  5. You'll need to reset toolbox and select tasks that you use. Please refer to: Adding SQL Server Tasks to Visual Studio article.
  6. Update BizCrypto license key everywhere throughout your BizCrypto-driven projects.
