Activating the components with the license key

This section contains instructions about how to activate the components using your license key. To make the connections and tasks work, you have to pass your license key to BizCrypto.

Connections and tasks for Microsoft® SQL Server® Integration Services

The license key can be set in one of the following ways:

  • By assigning the license key to the BizCrypto License Key property of the connection or task. Remember, that you don't pass any file name, registry key name or anything else. You pass the license key itself (a text string).

  • By putting the license key to the registry under certain registry key.

    On 32 bit systems, use the following registry key:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{B43CDCB7-071B-4063-9E44-5A4DE31296F2}

    On 64 bit systems, use the following key (note the "Wow6432Node" subkey):
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{B43CDCB7-071B-4063-9E44-5A4DE31296F2}

    On 64 bit systems, if project property Run64BitRuntime is False, both registry keys should be set.
    Note: the license key should be placed to default (unnamed) value of the registry key.

The latter (registry-based) way allows to specify a common license key in a single place for all components being used.
