SecureMail Adapter

SecureMail Send Adapter

The SecureMail Adapter provides MIME message sending functionality in your BizTalk Server solutions.

SecureMail Send Adapter

The SecureMail Adapter consists of two parts: S/MIME and SMTP (see the list of properties below). The first part allows to create and (optionally) sign/encrypt MIME messages. The generated message may be either saved to a file, or sent to the server. Functionality for the latter is provided by the SMTP part of the adapter.

To send a MIME message, you must specify at least one recipient via the SMIMETo property, and the name of the SMTP server: SMIMEHost (to connect to the desired port, use the SMIMEPort property). To authenticate to the server, provide username and password via SMIMEUser and SMIMEPassword properties. You may edit message header fields by using the corresponding properties (SMIMEFrom, SMIMETo, etc).

If you want to send a signed/encrypted message, use the following properties: SMIMESignMessage, SMIMEEncryptMessage.

By default, an unencrypted connection to the server is used. To use secured connection, set SSLUse property to True. Use the corresponding properties (SSL*) to specify various parameters of the secured connection.

When required, the connection to SMTP server may be established through HTTP proxy (WebTunnelUse) or SOCKS server (SOCKSUse). Use the related properties to manage web tunnel or SOCKS connection.
