Submit a Use Case

EldoS Corporation offers you a discount or rebate on any license for our development products, in exchange to the Use Case text that you create. The use case should be based on the real use of EldoS Corporation products in your companies.

If you are interested in writing a use case, we will provide you a time-limited key for the product of your choice so that you can use the product in actual development.

Sample structure of the use case

• Company name.
• Summary. Summary briefly describes how the company uses the product of EldoS Corporation and what benefits it gains (1-2 sentences).
  Example: OpenPGPBlackbox was used in our software product named CoolArchiver to provide strong encryption of the archived data and position our product as a secure solution.
• Company profile. Information about the company (1-2 sentences).
  Example: MegaCool Corporation, working on software market since 1987, specializes in creation of software and hardware data storage and archiving solutions.
• How did the need for a product appear? Detailed description of the company needs, which required use of products offered by EldoS Corporation (~5 sentences).
  Example: Business situation on backup tools market required that we offer some unique features, not currently available on the market. As we take care about the security of the stored data, we decided to provide advanced encryption functionality to our customers, as one of the new features of CoolArchiver 5.0. We know OpenPGP infrastructure is used widely and for a long time, so we found it suitable for what we plan to implement.
• Special business requirements. The business criteria for choosing the solutions (~5 sentences).
  Example: We recognize data security as one of the areas of special competence, where home-made solutions are not suitable. So we needed to add some third-party components to CoolArchiver. Since security solution should be reliable and should provide really strong protection, we needed the component which is widely used and which has been on the market for some time. On the other hand, we recognize that everything has its cost and we didn't want to pay too much for a package, where we use only 10% of functions. So the components should have an affordable cost of license and maintenance support.
• Special technical requirements. Information about what technical functionality of EldoS Corporation products made it an optimal choice for your needs (3-5 sentences).
  Example: currently we use Borland Delphi as a main development tool for 32-bit Windows platform. We plan, however, to move to .NET Framework in CoolArchiver 6, so support for .NET is required. ActiveX technology is a bit outdated and doesn't always work well with both VCL and .NET platforms. OpenPGPBlackbox is offered in VCL and .NET editions, and use of OpenPGPBlackbox will not make movement to .NET much harder.
• Achieved results. The benefits you've gained and the results you've achieved when using EldoS Corporation products (3-5 sentences).
  Example: Use of OpenPGPBlackbox allowed us to implement OpenPGP and PKI (X.509 certificate)-based encryption of the data. We also support hardware devices for storing X.509 certificates (this functionality is part of PKIBlackbox, which is included with OpenPGPBlackbox). These technical benefits allowed us expand our presence on the market by presenting CoolArchiver as a security solution. Also, we saved time by using an existing component instead of doing in-house development.
